Angella was such a great tour guide! She was very sweet and took a lot of pictures of me, since I was travelling solo. As a local, she was knowledgeable about local customs and knew lots of interesting information. Hyeopjae Beach was the most gorgeous place we went. I wish we could have stayed there all day...We only stayed for maybe 15 minutes, which was so unfortunate. We spent a lot of time at the gardens nearby, which I didn’t really care for, except for the caves and the water garden. I LOVED the caves, especially since the larger lava tubes are closed. The water garden was so beautiful and I wish i’d skipped the bird garden and gone straight to the water garden. Lunch was super yummy! I loved the buffet and chatting with people on the tour. I liked seeing the tea fields. It was definitely a place where there wasn’t much to do other than buy things. And that was definitely fine with me! I love green tea. Songaksan Mountain was the highlight of the day for me. The view of the coastline was unreal. I loved looking at the ocean. The waterfall was pretty cool, but what I thought was even BETTER was the hexagonal rocks behind the 1st waterfall. WOW!!!!!! I love rocks and I really loved seeing those hexagonal rocks. I was definitely so tired after. It took us an hour to get back to the hotel and I fell asleep. I had a lot of fun on the tour and I would do it again!!

My tour guide went by the English name Kate, and I adore her. She was the best tour guide I had on my trip. I loved her sense of humor, anecdotes about life as a native of Jeju, and her organization and care of the people on the tour. She was so sweet and I had such a wonderful time with her. I would 10000% go on this tour again. The National Forest and Folk Village were pretty good, I enjoyed them just fine. Our lunch was VERY delicious and it was so fun to chat with other tour participants. We then went to my favorite part: the Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. It was so gorgeous. Words can’t even describe. I hiked to the top and it was the highlight of my stay on Jeju. And the surrounding beach that we visted was stunning. I will dream about it forever. The black sand beach, with its tide pools, was honestly my favorite part. I appreciated the work of the women divers. Kate did a good job setting expectations about them: she let us know that they are not performers and that we should give them our appreciation. This helped me be prepared when the women diver show was very underwhelming. I did appreciate them and the work they do, but it was not the most interesting to watch (I’m so sorry!!) I will be forever crushed that the lava tubes were closed when I was there. BUT! I did really enjoy the Stone Park, which surprised me. Be prepared to walk a lot and learn a lot with Kate! This tour was so, so lovely and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
